Erik Deutsch Band

Brooklyn pianist Erik Deutsch has recently worked with Norah Jones, Ben Allison, Rosanne Cash, Steven Bernstein, Ellery Eskelin, Theo Bleckman, Erin McKeown, and Trevor Dunn. After three years in the Charlie Hunter Trio (recording Mistico and Baboon Strength), Erik is currently recording and touring with Shooter Jennings and the Triple Crown, and Citizen Cope. Longtime collaborators include the drummer Allison Miller, trumpeter Ron Miles, pianist Art Lande, and gypsy rockers Devothcka. As a leader, his releases include Fingerprint, Hush Money, and the2012 release Demonio Teclado.

NYC Bassist and producer Jeff Hill got his start in Chicago playing with jazz greats Von Freeman and Curtis Fuller. In 1996 Jeff moved to NYC and began touring and recording with acclaimed singer songwriter Rufus Wainwright (a relationship which has lasted more than a decade). He has also performed or recorded with Joan Baez, Brazilian Girls, Linda Thompson, Trey Anastasio, Shooter Jennings, Rich Robinson, Bette Midler, Kate and Anna McGarrigle, Robert Randolph, Martha Wainwright, Jim Campilongo, Shannon McNally, Marshall Crenshaw, Paula Cole, Harper Simon, Julianna Hatfield, and the Scissor Sisters, among others.

Drummer Tony Mason grew up in Southern Pines, North Carolina and started playing percussion at age seven. After studying at East Carolina University, Tony moved to NYC in 1986 to finish his education at The Manhattan School Of Music. He has toured and/or recorded with Norah Jones, Charlie Hunter, Natalie Cole, Joan Osborne, Paula Cole, Bo Diddley, Shooter Jennings, CyrilNeville, Bernie Worrell, Martha Wainwright, Leo Nocentelli, Jim Campilongo, and is currently working with guitarist John Scofield.

Trumpeter/vocalist Jon Gray currently resides in Ft. Collins, Colorado where he teaches at Colorado State University. He and Deutsch have been performing together since 1995 when they met as freshman at the University of Colorado Boulder and formed the fusion band Fat Mama. Since then Jon has performed with James Blood Ullmer, Ron Miles, Art Lande, Soulive, Devotchka, and Charlie Hunter.
